Now what do you do? Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but it can also be tons of fun! When I first got engaged I didn't know where to start.&nbsp;First, I had to decide if I wanted to hire a wedding planner or if&nbsp;I&nbsp;was going to plan it myself. In my case, I decided to plan it myself because I love to plan parties and like to be in control. Then, I went to&nbsp;a book store and purchased a wedding planning&nbsp;book with a 3 ring binder.&nbsp;I highly recommend getting The Ultimate Wedding Planner and Organizer.&nbsp;This book was great because it came with a wedding checklist, wedding planning calendar, organized tabs, folders,&nbsp;photo and business card holders for&nbsp;vendors,&nbsp;a hole puncher and calculator.&nbsp;Then, I had to pick a date and a venue. I always knew what day I wanted to get married on and even though I was planning this wedding 14 months in advance, they did not have my day available. If you already know the day you want to get married, I suggest choosing where you want to get married right away because people plan there weddings far in advance these days. If you are getting married at a church, make sure that your church is available that day as well. &nbsp;After&nbsp;we chose the date, I had to set a budget and decide how many people we were going to invite. We decided that we were going to have around 250 people. The best thing about&nbsp;our venue is that included food, drinks, cake, ice sculpture and table/chair coverings.&nbsp;This made life so much easier for us. I didn't have to do much after that for a while except pick who was going to be in my wedding,&nbsp;my&nbsp;dress, colors, flowers, decorations, DJ and videographer.
